Apple has announced new and expanded partnerships with American companies for the iPhone Duo and iPhone 18 Pro models, marking a significant step in its commitment to domestic manufacturing. The company is working with Perryman Company to supply titanium for the iPhone Duo, a critical material for the device’s structural integrity and design.
Apple is also expanding its partnership with Qnity Electronics, based in Delaware, to produce technology for the variable aperture in the iPhone 18 Pro camera system. This collaboration represents one of the most advanced camera systems Apple has ever developed, with components sourced from more than a dozen U.S. states.
The American Manufacturing Program, which supports over 450,000 American jobs, is central to Apple’s strategy of reshoring production. The program includes initiatives such as the Advanced Manufacturing Center in Houston, Texas, where Apple engineers train small- and medium-sized businesses on advanced manufacturing processes.
Apple has committed up to $100 million over the next three years to support Perryman Company, reinforcing its investment in domestic supply chains. The company’s broader goal includes achieving carbon neutrality across its entire footprint by 2030, with all direct suppliers required to use renewable energy by the end of this decade.
These partnerships reflect Apple’s ongoing efforts to integrate U.S. suppliers into its global supply chain, with components ranging from wireless chips to silicon for key functions produced by American companies. The iPhone Duo and iPhone 18 Pro models are among the first to benefit from this expanded domestic manufacturing strategy.
