Apple has launched HomeView, a new device that serves as both a home automation hub and an entertainment center. The product is designed to integrate seamlessly with Apple’s ecosystem, allowing users to manage their smart home and enjoy multimedia content through a single interface. HomeView is available in space gray and silver, featuring a 7-inch Liquid Retina display and a domed speaker base connected by a stainless steel frame.
HomeView recognizes users by their faces, adapting to provide personalized access to content and settings across apps like Messages, FaceTime, Calendar, and Remi. The device can be placed on a tabletop or wall-mounted to fit into spaces such as entryways or hallways. It supports up to six users, delivering tailored experiences for each individual.
The device features Siri AI, a new version of Siri that is more capable and conversational. This advanced AI enables users to interact with HomeView through voice commands, allowing them to control smart home functions, adjust settings, and manage multimedia content. The integration of Siri AI enhances the user experience by making interactions more natural and efficient.
HomeView offers an exceptional listening experience through a custom-engineered acoustic system. Two full-range drivers in the display ensure crisp and clean sound, while a down-firing woofer and two force-canceling passive radiators in the base provide deep bass extension. The system is powered by Apple silicon and real-time sensors, which continuously optimize loudness and spatial audio for an immersive experience.
Users can control their smart home through HomeView by touch or voice, managing functions such as adjusting the thermostat, locking doors, and viewing camera feeds. The device also supports multiroom audio, allowing users to enjoy music throughout their home by connecting compatible speakers and devices like HomePod, HomePod Mini, and AirPlay-compatible speakers.
HomeView is designed to be a central part of the home, offering instant access to users’ favorite accessories and providing live streams of up to nine video feeds simultaneously. This feature allows users to monitor doorstep deliveries and pets playing in the yard. With a supported iCloud subscription, users can access additional features and ensure seamless integration with their Apple devices.
